AWS infrastructure for the Infios (Körber) warehouse management system: Windows and SQL Server environments, deployments and database reliability for 24/7 warehouse operations across multiple geographies.

  • Built a repeatable Terraform and AWS Systems Manager workbench for Windows/SQL Server environments, automating infrastructure configuration, access setup and operational runbooks.
  • Implemented SQL Server high availability with Windows Failover Clustering, Always On Availability Groups and load balancing; applications typically reconnected within seconds during maintenance failovers.
  • Combined component deployments with powershell, SQL migration steps and differential-backup jobs into a one-click GitHub Actions workflow with cluster, environment selection.
  • Standardized database and transaction-log backups to S3 with SQL Agent jobs; built Python checksum and LSN validation and performed bi-annual restore exercises.
  • Built SQL performance collectors on SQL Server Query Store and dynamic management views, alongside Grafana Alloy, Windows/SQL exporters, dashboards and resource alerts.

Air-freight marketplace running production services on GCP/GKE; developed and deployed services there, working directly with Kubernetes.

  • Proposed and led an incremental Airflow-to-Celery migration; migrated the complex order-processing workflow and established team templates, with an 80% reduction in job-related support requests in the first quarter.
  • Designed and delivered a Sphinx-based Markdown-to-Confluence publishing workflow adopted across engineering, making documentation part of PR reviews and the definition of done.
  • Introduced creation and update timestamps for partition-aware BigQuery transformations, reducing data scanned and associated cost by roughly an order of magnitude for some queries.
  • Designed and built a complete simulated airline integration from a colleague's concept, covering search, booking and tracking for local end-to-end development, deployment smoke tests and sales demos.
